We understand that obtaining filming permits abroad can be a challenging and lengthy process.
At Fonktown, we offer extensive expertise in this area and can provide assistance even under tight deadlines.
With our comprehensive knowledge of the system and strong connections to various film commissions throughout Spain, we simplify the permit issuance process.
Filming permits in Spain, handled by your local production service company
Fonktown works as the local production service company and fixer in Spain for international productions. We request and manage the filming permits for your shoot with the town halls and the local film offices, such as the Madrid Film Office, the Barcelona Film Commission and the film offices in Valencia and the Balearic Islands, and with the authorities in charge of beaches, roads, parks and protected areas. Send us the script, treatment or deck and your dates, and we tell you which permits you need and how long they take.
What our permit service includes
- Permit applications with the film offices and the town halls, in Spanish and on time.
- Street closures, traffic control and filming protocols for shoots in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Mallorca.
- Visas for your crew, production insurance and local invoicing, so all the paperwork is handled in one place.
- Drone permits and permits for private properties, beaches and protected areas, through our location scouting team.
Permits are one part of our production services in Spain, together with location scouting, local crew, casting in Spain and equipment rental, with one point of contact and one budget.
